Zenpep for Pancreatitis

A deficiency in pancreatic enzymes (digestive enzymes secreted by the pancreas) can be caused by cystic fibrosis, pancreatitis, or certain other conditions. Adults, children, and infants who have a deficiency in pancreatic enzymes may benefit from Zenpep® (pancrelipase).

Zenpep contains a mixture of different pancreatic enzymes, which help to digest fats, proteins, and starches. This medication comes in the form of an extended-release capsule, and is usually taken with each meal.
