Tobi Inhaler Information

Available by prescription only, Tobi® PodhalerTM (tobramycin inhalation powder) is a medicine used to treat an infection caused by the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa in people who have cystic fibrosis. It comes as a capsule that is put into a special device. This device punctures the capsule, releasing the powder contained in it. This powder should be inhaled twice daily for 28 days, followed by a 28-day break before starting your next 28-day treatment cycle.

Because not everyone can safely use this medication, it's important to fully understand the safety information before starting treatment with Tobi Podhaler. This includes things like possible drug interactions and side effects like sore throat, coughing, and fever. Also, let your healthcare provider know if you have kidney disease, hearing problems, or any other existing medical conditions.
