Bethkis Drug Interactions Explained

Amphotericin B
Using Bethkis with amphotericin B could increase your risk for kidney problems. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor your kidney function more closely using blood and urine tests if you use these medicines together.  
 
Bisphosphonates
Combining Bethkis with a bisphosphonate could lead to low blood calcium levels (hypocalcemia). If you use these drugs together, your healthcare provider may choose to monitor you for this potential interaction.
 
Carboplatin
Both Bethkis and carboplatin can cause ear damage, and combining these two could increase the risk for this side effect. Talk to your healthcare provider before using these medicines together.
 
Cephalosporin Antibiotics
Combining Bethkis with a cephalosporin could increase the risk for kidney problems. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor your kidney function more closely using blood and urine tests if you take these medicines together.  
 
Cisplatin

Gallium Nitrate
Combining Bethkis with gallium nitrate could increase the risk for kidney problems. It is recommended that these drugs not be used together if at all possible. If you need to take both of them, your healthcare provider will closely monitor your kidney function using blood and urine tests.
 
Loop Diuretics
Taking loop diuretics with Bethkis could increase the chance that you will experience Bethkis side effects, including kidney and ear problems. Talk to your healthcare provider before using these drugs together. Your healthcare provider may want to monitor you more closely for interactions.
 
Neuromuscular-Blocking Medications
Combining Bethkis with neuromuscular-blocking medicines could increase your risk for certain serious side effects, including abnormally slow and shallow breathing. Your healthcare provider will monitor you more closely if you take these medicines together.
 
NSAIDs
Combining Bethkis with an NSAID may increase the risk for kidney problems. This interaction appears to mainly be a concern in premature infants. However, your healthcare provider may choose to monitor your kidney function more closely using blood and urine tests if you use these drugs together, just to be safe.  
 
Vancomycin
Combining Bethkis with vancomycin could increase the risk for kidney problems. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor your kidney function more closely using blood and urine tests if you use these medicines together.
